3T Prisma Magnet
Installed in November 2022, the Prisma offers state-of-the-art imaging capabilities. The XR 80/200 gradient coil of the Prisma provides unparalleled signal-to-noise at 3-Tesla, allowing for high-resolution images with fast image acquisition.
Coils
64-channel head and neck coil
The 64-channel coil offers unparalleled signal-to-noise ratio and allows for simultaneous acquisition of the brain and cervical spine. Can also be used to acquire high-resolution images of other body parts that can fit within the coil (e.g., hand and foot).
32-channel head coil
Standard in many legacy imaging protocols and can accommodate larger heads that might not fit within the 64-channel coil, still boasting a strong signal-to-noise ratio.
20-channel head coil
Accommodates older legacy protocols and may be necessary to interface with certain other equipment used during MRI.
Spine coil
Supports high-resolution, state-of-the-art imaging of the entire spine.
Flex body coils
Supports musculoskeletal imaging that can be flexibly adapted to cover most parts of the human body.
Stimulus presentation and response recording equipment
Response recording
We have two different 4-button response systems, one an ergonomic trigger-response system and the other a traditional response pad system. The response pad system can be set to emulate a keyboard and integrate with any existing experiment code that is programmed for a keyboard.
Investigators have integrated a variety of other response and physiological recording systems, including trackball, eye tracking, and electrodermal activity (EDA). Our penetration panel can accommodate most custom equipment.
Stimulus presentation
We utilize an LCD monitor system that participants view using a mirror attached to the head coil. The monitor is fully adjustable to flexibly accommodate your other equipment needs and locks into place for highly replicable set-up that is unique to each project.
- We are fully-equipped for in-scanner audio stimulus presentation.
- We have a PC available for use in stimulus presentation. Loaded experiment software include PsychoPy, Presentation, and Matlab. Investigators are able to load other software particular to their research needs. The PC is already set up to integrate with the button response system, audio, and LCD monitor.
